The Parables of Jesus

Pastor Jason Canady

Hope Classroom

6:30pm

One of the things that makes studying the parables of Jesus so challenging is that we’ve heard them before. We may know some of how they begin, or end, the lead lines, the taglines, maybe some of the content, and even some of the meaning itself. This often keeps us from hearing them in a fresh way or can even distort their meaning. In this video teaching series by Dr. Mark Scott, we’ll learn the best way to approach the biblical parables, their function, historical background, and special features as we study, interpret, and work through them together.

What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What’s the purpose of life? What’s next? If you’re looking for a judgment-free space to ask hard questions and share your own opinion, there’s a place for you.

This an outreach class. Bring your friends who may not yet know Christ and are interested in learning about the faith. Click here to learn more.
